Uhm I've been noticing that in a week my credits dropped from over 100 to 45. Can someone explain to me what happened? Because to my knowledge, I didn't delete my own posts, and I hardly think anyone here would go about deleting my posts - unless someone is not telling me. Which is ok - but then let another admin know. My idea is : someone found the method *cough* to deduct credits. just to check ... after making the PREVIOUS post my count dropped to 44.08..

I noticed that it's been reinstated as privilege. Now today I had this sad blink (uhm am using weird words to not cuss) posting crap basically. Not only that but he had removed the content from many of his posts replacing it with absolute crap, and since some were topic starters I had to remove the topics. Is there any way to allow members the edit posts button but restrict it? Or maybe make it an extra when they have x posts??

The Warning thing we have right now is good, but I think it should be kinda like the reputation thing, where you can see which post (or profile) the reputation point was made from. This would let us not make redundant warnings on the same thing, or show that a post has not been warned. Ive noticed there are sometimes PM's from users asking mods to modify there posts for them. a while back, one user made several requests in as many days. should we not allow users to modify there own posts ??? just a surgestion.

Problem: I've noticed that there's quite a few people who sign up with Astahost, make 10 short posts and then request hosting. Of course they are denied and have unnecessarily wasted their time and our time. For some reason, they didn't have what it takes to click the link to the rules and thoroughly read the rules to find out if Astahost is the place for them. Every staff member that has served here has done a great job but eventually, their lives either get too busy to hang out here as much as they used to or they just lose interest. I believe recent hacks have taken place here, but I can't tell who has been affected. I know I was but to know how they got in is a different story. A noticable difference is permission settings, I know for starters we don't need execute permissions on our text files, yet this seems to be the case, a lot of files that don't need execute have it. Some of my configuration files were given write access and were Injected to make users who visited my site download a Windows dll file.
Adjustment To The Deletion Of Threads
I think whenever we use the delete button to delete a post, it should make a record of it somewhere, along with the number of credits lost. Also, it would be nice if we could have it e-mail the person as well. Be Careful Deleting Whole Threads
Yesterday I had slightly above 0 credits. Today I am at negative 4. Now, as I see it, there are two possibilities: 1) Something wrong with the credit script 2) Somebody deleted a whole thread with some of my posts in it. While denying some hosting request, I noticed an option that I am sure wasn't there before - "Multi-Moderation" (bottom of the hosting request topic page). I can see that it has "Deny", "Approve Plan 1" and "Approve Plan 2", but I don't know how each of these functions. I just had a discussion with opaque and it seems there are lots of so-called "Tutorials" which consist of just 3-4 lines of text summarizing some well-known windows settings tweaks - now these can hardly be considered as tutorials. We're planning on setting a minimum word limit for posts to qualify as a tutorial - initial suggestion is [b]500 words[/b]. Lately I've been noticing issues with the Remember Me feature of the login. If I check the page everyday, it's fine. But if I am unable to visit (like yesterday when I was traveling) for one (or maybe it's two) days, then I get logged out. Is this intentional functionality? I have seen this happen a few times before but didn't bring it up. Is there any reason why a post count shown under the users profile will be off with the exception of it being deleted perhaps? For the member [b]dserban[/b], I tried to view all his posts and only see two of them, when his profile actually says he has made three postings to the forum.
Should we close topics that we find to be inactive or started orignally by a banned/inactive member? I saw a few lately where either the member was banned/inactive or members were replying with the same repeated replies as the users who posted months earlier.
