Hey guys, The level of spam is getting really out of hand. Is the CAPTCHA failing? I think we should implement reCAPTCHA in our forums since apparently those work a lot better and maybe add a simple math quiz so that we can make sure that it's a human and not a bot registering. I ask my question here, so nobody knows that a guy from the staff (myself) is sometimes probably stupid. My first question : it seems that there is a big difference between the "myEarnings" I see for my account in front of my posts, and the "Account Credit Balance" I see in the ComputingHost (Xisto) Client area. Is this normal ? My second question is : am I still sleeping, or is there a hidden menu somewhere for asking for new items like more databases or more disk space ?
I don't know if you have noticed this, but I see a lot of porn material these days. Either in old posts, or directly in new topics. Fortunately the report system works fine. But I still have to have a look at the new topics every day to find the stupid guys starting new topics with pharm or porn contents.
I didn't understand how will qupis users behave. Will they also have to register to Xisto ? Is there a free plan for them ? Or is qupis completely different ? Or will qupis survive to the switch to the new credit system ?

Why Isn't The "hosting Screened" Option Visible
Hi, Can some one tell me what to do if I want to "screen" a member's hosting application. I am sure Buffalo knows what I am talking about. It is visible in Trap but not here so I am guessing that it was not updated here? Every staff member that has served here has done a great job but eventually, their lives either get too busy to hang out here as much as they used to or they just lose interest. While denying some hosting request, I noticed an option that I am sure wasn't there before - "Multi-Moderation" (bottom of the hosting request topic page). I can see that it has "Deny", "Approve Plan 1" and "Approve Plan 2", but I don't know how each of these functions. Actually, I'm only interested in "Deny", as it is not up to me to approve requests I guess it just locks and moves the topic, but I wanted to be sure.

At the beginning of the summer there was a dramatic change in my work schedule. It has continued to get more difficult to adjust to as the weeks have progressed. Basically, right now I am working 10 hour overnight shifts four days a week and trying to catch up on sleep my days off. My schedule varies from week to week no it is very difficult to adjust to the changes. On top of that, I have many family activities that I have been busy with which has completely kept me from visiting AstaHost.

I have seen this happen a few times before but didn't bring it up. Is there any reason why a post count shown under the users profile will be off with the exception of it being deleted perhaps? Move Denied Hosting Requests To Proper Board And Note Tag Not Working?
I see an area in the hosting request section for Denied hosting. Since the Moderators can deny a members request for hosting if they see fit, should we move it over to the Denied section or leave it open for review by the Admins? Is the NOTE or NOTICE tags working properly? I tried to use them a few times and they don't seem to have that "sticky note" effect. It just says Notice from so and so and whatever we typed after that.
Should we close topics that we find to be inactive or started orignally by a banned/inactive member? I saw a few lately where either the member was banned/inactive or members were replying with the same repeated replies as the users who posted months earlier.

I just refreshed the page and I am now listed as having +4.54 credits. My account appears to still be suspended, but that could be because the cron job hasn't run. Lost Activation Email Tracking...
We seem to have a problem sometimes with new hosting or upgrade activation emails making it to the destination. Please list any reports that you get about this problem here. We need the username, user's email address as it is in their profile and the date and time the email was sent. The date and time is the date and time that the approval reply was made in the forums. Be Careful Deleting Whole Threads
Yesterday I had slightly above 0 credits. Today I am at negative 4. Now, as I see it, there are two possibilities: 1) Something wrong with the credit script 2) Somebody deleted a whole thread with some of my posts in it. The second situation is more likely, and was the case for a lot of credit disappearances a while ago. We have a few members that have a different names displayed in the shoutbox than is shown elsewhere on the website. This just started recently but it is kind of a problem. I think this is caused by IPB's odd feature where a members display name can be different than their login name. While IPB shows the users display name throughout the website, shoutbox must be showing the login name. Anyway we can have the shoutbox show the display name instead of the login name? vujsa

We already know that they show up in the "Most Recent Posts" section, and that they're still invisible when members try to click the link, but I found that the whole text of the post can be viewed when you use the search engine. I think whenever we use the delete button to delete a post, it should make a record of it somewhere, along with the number of credits lost. Also, it would be nice if we could have it e-mail the person as well. I believe recent hacks have taken place here, but I can't tell who has been affected. I know I was but to know how they got in is a different story. A noticable difference is permission settings, I know for starters we don't need execute permissions on our text files, yet this seems to be the case, a lot of files that don't need execute have it. I have seen another tutorial here like this one, and that's why I had to bring this problem up. These tutorials are, in my opinion, not good to Astahost.
